About Us - Preparers
The year-round staff at Phillips Tax Service is comprised of certified public accountants, enrolled agents*, degreed accountants, experienced tax return preparers, and payroll clerks for the day-to-day operations.
During the tax season, we bring on our seasonal enrolled agents and experienced tax return preparers. On average, our tax season staff has over 10 years of experience.
All Phillips employees are kept up to date with current tax law by both internal and external seminars. All the staff receive more training than the IRS requires.
*An enrolled agent is a person who is enrolled with the IRS to represent taxpayers with the IRS. An EA has passed a special 2-day examination by the IRS and must complete a minimum of continuing education each year.
